Job description

Overview

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of Company 200.

You must satisfy all host country requirements to legally work in the host country.

Working across the globe, V2X builds smart solutions designed to integrate physical and digital infrastructure from base to battlefield.

The IT Manager reports to the In-Country Team Manager and is responsible for IT architecture, infrastructure buildout, and operations of internet and intranet environments including IT planning; cybersecurity and compliance management; server space locating and securing; and hardware and software construct in support of the Philippines contract.

The overall purpose is to ensure reliable communication between CONUS and OCONUS stakeholders, while partnering with those stakeholders to understand objectives, determine requirements, and monitor and control project budgets, scope, and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure execution of all functions associated with building out and managing an IT infrastructure, including managing objectives, requirements, scheduling, materials, budgets, and scope.

  • Establish milestones, monitor adherence to plans, identify problems, and obtain solutions (resource allocation when needed).

  • Create a project timeline with objectives, milestones, and metrics for stakeholders.

  • Install, configure, integrate, and maintain automation systems.

  • Analyze system functions and failures to isolate and define problem areas; troubleshoot network issues; restore full network capability.

  • Monitor connectivity across the network; manage circuit restoral priorities; troubleshoot outages.

  • Analyze user traffic flow and optimize routing to improve backbone performance; manage a router-based network with multiple subnets.

  • Manage IP addresses for numerous sites and adjust routing protocols for optimum performance.

  • Provide on-site and remote technical services to ensure ongoing network operations and optimization.

  • Perform diagnostic analysis, identify faulty devices/modules, troubleshoot problems, and document actions taken.

  • Maintain a system configuration database documenting modifications to software or hardware.

  • Prepare reports and recommendations for network enhancements; provide leadership to ensure shifts and network operate efficiently.

  • Create and manage a database-driven system to track maintenance, material requirements, movement, and storage information; track material requirements from MRLs to delivery in country.

  • Guide cost analysis, present data trends and forecasts, and recommend actions.

  • Provide information to management by assembling data, preparing reports, and presenting findings and recommendations.

  • Maintain multiple databases; requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies to meet production demands.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Management; at least ten (10) years of multi-functional IT infrastructure and operations experience; supervisory military IT experience preferred.

  • Proficient in system design methodologies, architectural frameworks, and modeling tools; strong understanding of hardware, software, and networks; experience with enterprise-scale systems, servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.

  • Familiar with cybersecurity principles and practices; ability to integrate security into system designs; experience with cybersecure networking.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.

  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and military supply accountability preferred; familiarity with logistics software and Costpoint and Maximo EAM preferred.

  • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a CAC; U.S. citizen; valid U.S. passport with at least 1 year before expiration and 3 blank pages.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, cost analysis, and data presentation skills; intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • Supervisory and budget responsibilities: provides broad guidance to a multinational team.
